About This Pipe
The Rhodesian is a shape of seemingly infinite, or at least near-infinite, variation. This is in no small part on account of almost any form being regularly called a Rhodesian so long as it has at least one bead-line somewhere on the bowl, and a shank that is not diamond-shaped. As such you might very well call this Former design restrained, in that it does have what is very much a Rhodesian/Bulldog shaped bowl, and that the main alteration has been in simply swapping out a standard round shank for a very broad oval. All of this results in, for one thing, a very neat profile; for another, a pipe that sits very well; and for one last thing, an even better display of this particular briar's copious birdseye.
