About This Pipe
Copper isn't given as much credit as it deserves, often associated with the American one-cent coin. Here, Tom Eltang has spun the material into a more elegant light with his Copper finish. Dressing his pencil-shanked Dublin, and administered using a painstaking, hand-applied process, it clings to the briar's sandblasted texture to create a stunning visual show as the light plays on the metal. With a touch warmer hue than his Silver or even Gold pipes, it's far more inviting than any coin, and creates an image that might evoke some new respect for the material itself in all those who view it.
