About This Pipe

The first Eskimo we've seen from David Huber, this piece is wide, broad, and relatively short for its proportions. Crisp ridge lines demarcate the domed rim, and equally crisp lines define the left and right ridges from lip button to rim. There's a smooth inner circle chamfered into the rim at the tobacco chamber, offering the only non-black aspect of the pipe, save for the round nomenclature panel on the underside. It sits upright easily, and can rock a little bit, though it certainly won't fall over without lots of help. The flattened aspect of the Eskimo shape is informed by David's aesthetic design characteristics, revealing dynamic proportions and creative shaping. the sandblast, too, is remarkable, with concentric growth rings ascending from the waistline to center at the heel. A noteworthy contribution indeed.
