Originally designed by Danish artisan Sixten Ivarsson, the Nefertiti is, essentially, a specific variation of the classic Dublin: The bowl is conical in profile, and the Nefertiti in particular is defined by slender proportions throughout and a heel that drops below the shank's bottom line. Asteriou's version here stays true to Ivarsson's original design but with some unique flourishes: Most notably, Asteriou lengthened the shank for a profile akin to the Lovat, and he shaped the stem base with a distinctive edge before decreasing toward the bit. Such an aspect appears as though the stem base is a continuation of the shank, blending perfectly with the dark stain. The majority of the stummel wears this dark-stained sandblast, except for the rim which is left smooth an lighter stained for contrast.
