About This Pipe
A broad, lively lenticular shank initiates the characteristic sweeping gesture presented by this Benni Jorgensen bent Dublin, with its framing lines traveling the length of the briar before terminating at the bowl. From here, the left (from the smoker's perspective) becomes one with the bowl itself before even reaching the rim, while the right travels to meet the rim, resulting a gentle divot and evoking the sense of floral shaping for which Benni is well known. As for the grain pattern, it's nothing short of stunning, with vast seas of birdseye at the rim and underside, and no shortage of vibrant flame in between. Looking closely, one can even detect the block's underlying ring grain, undulating just below the surface. Gorgeous work here.
