About This Pipe
Paolo Becker has a thing for the Rhodesian, or at least it certainly appears that way, as he has several variations on the shape that are distinctly his own. Three in particular come immediately to mind: arrow straight and smartly canted, a very low-profile, slightly bent, and forward-reaching rendition, and this one, something of a more full bodied, more deeply bent, and generally quite larger cousin to the second, sporting a chopped-top look created by placing the bevel just barely above the upper line of the transition. All three are fine examples of a particular knack Paolo has, that of creating evocative profiles.
