About This Pipe
This towering, forward canted Poker is something of an Askwith signature, as we've seen quite a number of them from the artisan in recent years. Stylistically, it falls into that "classics for extroverts" camp of Chris' work, featuring an underlying English classical base that's been tweaked considerably both in form and finish.
Askwith has pressed that bold aesthetic even further in this particular example, rendering it on quite a large scale — resulting in a seriously deep, Stack-like depth of chamber while remaining quite steady when resting on a flat surface. What's more, he's swapped out traditional briar for morta as the stummel's medium, and topped it all off with a novel, pinstriped mouthpiece of yellow and blue acrylic. Gorgeous example of one of Chris' signature styles here.
