About This Pipe
Blending tradition with innovation, Chris Askwith's distinctive style brings classic shapes into the modern age with vibrant colors and stylish finishes. While Chris often reinterprets traditional designs, this Poker stands out as a bit of an outlier in his collection. The cylindrical bowl features intricately carved channels and raised mounds of briar, offering a satisfying texture in hand and a striking geometric profile. These carved channels not only outline the bowl but also shape the rim, creating a crown-like effect with apex points evenly spaced around its circumference. The rest of this Poker is traditional to the classic design, featuring the signature sure-sitting stance, mid-set transition, and tapering shank and stem. The stummel wears an ebony stain, which pairs beautifully with the rich hues of the cumberland stem for a classic dress pipe aesthetic.
