Weathered Bone Billiard Tobacco Pipe

The Askwith Weathered Bone finish actually came about by happy accident, as Chris was experimenting with different sandblasting techniques and accidentally left a treatment on the bowl too long. On further inspection, he noticed a surprising texture brought out in the briar's grain — which after a few trial and error runs he was able to standardize and repeat consistently across multiple shapes and styles. This example is one of the more dramatic examples of that finish, featuring a number of rippling rings concentrically stacked from top to bottom along the bowl — matched by a white-washed-style stain to the briar itself. Fitting to that more muted palette, Chris appropriately chose to fit this one with a creamy mint-green and rust polyester mouthpiece for quite the charming composition overall.
