Sandblasted Calabash with Boxwood Cap Tobacco Pipe

Possibly one of the most iconic shapes in all of pipedom, here we find Jeff Gracik's own unique interpretation of the classic Calabash. Like the traditional design, it features a capacious cooling chamber and an overall sinuous form; unlike the classic, however, this particular number isn't fashioned from gourd. Hollowed out and topped with a boxwood cap, both the stummel and chamber are, indeed, briar. Presented here in a warm contrast and crisp sandblast, the fluid, tapered form is completely covered in rippling rings, with the cool, creamy hues of the boxwood serving as a contrast of sorts. A modern smoker with a classic silhouette, my money's on this J. Alan.
