About This Pipe
The wide, fanning profile to the Dublin bowl, canted smartly with a rolling slope across the rim back toward the shank, while allowing for some incredible grain, does create a significant amount of visual weight, particularly with the transition set just above the spur like base. Fortunately Adam is in possession of not only an excellent eye for shaping and balance, but some long and trim Japanese bamboo, of which he used a a good stretch (six whole knuckles worth) to counter the bowl.
