Sandblasted Cuttywarden (1002) Tobacco Pipe

Montana native Micah "Yeti" Cryder is known for his use of organic shaping and Bakelite accents. Many of his pieces display a Danish influence common within the America shaping school, including this Churchwarden. Resembling the silhouette of a Pickaxe, the walls of the bowl rise from a pointed heel and flare towards soft, high-set waist before subtly tapering inward to an asymmetrical rim covered in plateau. The aforementioned heel helps inform the check mark-like gesture seen along the shank-and-stem arrangement, where twin ridgelines extend from the transition all the way to the button. The ebony vulcanite mouthpiece pairs well with the inky sandblast dressing the stummel, highlighting impressive growth rings, save for the innermost rim, which is finished smooth for contrast.
