This update of Yeti briars perfectly epitomizes Micah Cryder's two contrasting shaping tendencies. While the first was a proudly-poised Sitter shape, this fellow, low and squat as it is, delves into the carver's penchant for plump, sweeping displays of geometry. It also serves to highlight his affinity for Danish-inspired shapes, coupled with his skill at the blasting cabinet. And with its accent of pale honey-blonde boxwood complementing the dark sandblast, all rounded off by a bullet-based saddle-stem made from vibrant violet bakelite, it's an idiosyncratic number that I'd be surprised to see stick around for long. Micah makes briars this nice look easy.
