About This Pipe

A musician, woodworker, and craftsman, Scott Thile has an impressive background that eventually led him to the pipe industry. Often pulling inspiration from Danish and American schools of design, this Cherrywood is a bit of an exception from Thile, leaning closer to an Italian silhouette versus the aforementioned origins. A flattened underside enables this piece to sit confidently, making it a great option for multitaskers. From said heel, the walls of the bowl cant forward with a dramatic flare as they reach the plateau-crowned rim, which looks into a capacious tobacco chamber. A mid-set transition mirrors the bowl by rising and flaring toward its partially plateaued face, from which a bent saddle stem protrudes. The dark mouthpiece pairs well to the contrast-stained stummel, finished smooth to highlight impressive flame grain throughout.
