About This Pipe
We've seen a number of these organic, playful Cherrywood interpretations from Scott now. Each design shares a similar silhouette when sitting, with its upward sweeping shank and combination stem kicked high in the air. That being said, Scott still does well to make each and every execution unique — tweaking proportions slightly, sharpening angles and lines, even lending varying levels of undulating to the rim. This particular variant is proudly poised, sporting a strong taper to the fore, flaring out slightly as it approaches the flattened base. Simply put, it's one of Scott's most striking compositions, exceptionally dynamic, yet still graceful and elegant in its sinuous lines. Fittingly enough, highlighted by a warm contrast stain, the grain captures the eye just as well, with long strands of flame spouting out all around.
