Heinemann's Grain Bug is among the German artisan's most recognizable signature shapes. Designed to make the most of the briar's exceptional grain, the stummel is carved into the form of a smooth, bulging curve — flat at both ends, with the upper section separated from the underside by an arcing ridgeline on each flank. Surrounded by a fetching brass inlay, a vaulting stem of vulcanite tops off the composition, promoting a comfortable clench when held up for a smoke. This Grain Bug wears a crisp, burgundy sandblast, which adds a wealth of tactile detail to the form and further accentuates the briar's dense ripples of ring grain.
