Alba (48) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

A sweeping bent Dublin rendition, the "48" shape from Rattray's presents a smooth-flowing gesture through the shank, transition, and bowl. A fluid curvature defines the transition, calling to mind traditional Calabash designs, but the bowl flares outward in classic Dublin fashion. Marked by comfortable balance and respectable chamber depth, this is a pipe of jaw-hanging potential — especially appealing to those who appreciate filtered pipes, with the stout shank drilled to accommodate a 9mm filter.

Named for the Gaelic word for the Scottish homeland, Rattray's Alba series celebrates the brand's Caledonian heritage with a single finish across a variety of classic shapes. They're united by a dark, smooth finish, highlighting the briar's grain beneath, and the dark palette is elegantly refined by a neatly beadlined metallic accent.
