About This Pipe
The Venus pipe from Old Dominion is a more figural piece compared to the brand's more traditionally inclined examples. However, this clay pipe stays true to that traditional style in its material and techniques, using an original copper mold made circa 1900 for a historical provenance that's quite charming. The bowl of this Cutty-like pipe features a scalloped shape, while the transition is adorned with a reclining cast of the Roman goddess of love and fertility: Venus.
These are fashioned from non-toxic, commercially produced clay, and bisque fired.
