A pleasant surprise
Outstanding smoke. Definitely recommend. I purchased some at a small local cigar shop while waiting on an order. This has actually won me over. Cost is not a big deal. Anyone that fusses about 20 for a tin of this would fuss about anything. I still love Star of the east and Byzantium but this has been really great stuff.

Just the right size for 15 min of dark fired KY. Plenty of draw. Oughta be great. Thank you. Rob…update- smokes great , love it. Update on review. This has been a workhorse and go to every night after work for a couple 3 bowls. It’s now a nice dark chocolate brown to black from KYs and Lat. I’m sold, clay is the way to go. I now have a few and getting new blends to taste test, although I always seem to grab this one. Run a pipe cleaner thru every other bowl and back to work. I’m going to get several more versions to keep on hand for changes in mixing tobaccos and my cigar smoking son to try different tastes. Thank you OG

Five Tips For Beginner Pipe Smokers
  • ► Not showy but works, a small stick from our pecan trees. One end flat one end a broken wedge. I smoke clays mainly but it works in anything. Bottom of the bowl tamping-gently go around the bowl sides with wedge end lightly to kind of create a mound. Ashes will then fall out. 80% of the time no relight needed and draw will tighten slightly. I never smoke without my stick. My pipe tool is in a cup somewhere.
