About This Pipe
Henri Sorensen always appreciated old-school craftsmanship, and like many pipe makers, he began his journey as a simple smoker. Henri originally got into the world of pipe making as a glazier, eventually crafting his own pieces with the guidance of some of Denmark's prolific artisans, such as Tom Eltang, Erick Nielsen, and Lasse Skovgaard. A stunning representation of Sorensen's craftsmanship, this Peewit features a voluptuous, full-bodied bowl that gently flares from its sharp, pointed heel to its broad, domed rim. The low-set transition elegantly connects the bowl to a sharply upturned shank and a gracefully curved saddle stem. Echoing the bowl's domed profile, the shank is capped with a stylized boxwood accent. This warm boxwood adds a light color contrast to the composition and its shape harmonizes beautifully with the stem's rounded shoulders. A smooth, contrast-rich finish completes this piece and showcases stunning flame grain across the bowl and freckles of birdseye along the rim.
