System Rusticated (26S) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "26" shape varies depending on series, with some iterations taking the form of a gestural Rhodesian and others a bent Bulldog. As a Rhodesian, the "26" features a cylindrical shank and a more pronounced heel, with the bowl flaring upward until the rim's sudden taper. By contrast, the "26" as a bent Bulldog pairs a broad, Pot-like bowl to a structural diamond shank and a demurely curved saddle stem. Both designs, however, feature comfortable bends to encourage a relaxed smoking posture and imbuing the overall shapes with a reserved fluidity.

Brigham's System series comprises two different finishes, both of which are united by their deceptive simplicity and rugged wealth of texture. The first of these finishes is a craggy rustication done in a striated, wire-brushed style and stained an inky black hue to disguise any handling marks it might accrue. The other finish within the System line is a crisp sandblast stained a light tan to showcase the briar's natural grain. Both are unified by jet-black stems and a simple style, presenting the pipes they dress in classic palettes that suit their hard-working, pastoral appeal.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
