About This Cigar
Oliva's Serie V cigar consists of specially fermented Jalapa Valley ligero fillers from Nicaragua and a Nicaraguan binder, all wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sun Grown Habano leaf. In the Melanio version, named in honor of Melanio Oliva — the first of the Oliva family to grow tobacco — that Habano wrapper is usually traded for an Ecuadorian Sumatran, while maintaining the rich filler blend and binder, but here in Melanio Maduro version, the wrapper is of Mexican San Andrés leaf. Highlighting this rich Maduro varietal, the Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro offers a robust flavor profile marked by hints of chocolate, smoky cedar, and malt.

The delicate aroma and taste are maintained from start to finish.
The sweetness, wood scent, and a little bit of coffee scent are also subtly maintained.

Another great cigar. The leather profile is still present as with the melanio line, but I find coffee and powdered chocolate in the maduro version. The #4 vitola is on point.
