Smooth Cherrywood with Boxwood Tobacco Pipe

We've not seen a Cherrywood from PS Studio's member Alexander Tupitsyn before, nor is it a shape associated with Poul Ilsted, who we often list as one of Alexander's influences. There was a single Cherrywood pipe that came out of the PS Studios marque, back in 2012, and, given the similarities, I can easily see it being the work of Tupitsyn, though three years have seen the young Russian further develop his own organic style. The lines are cleaner, the transition more defined, with a wasp waist-like movement thanks to a strong flair toward the boxwood accent and sliver of a saddle stem. The upward movement of the shank and stem perfectly balances the pronounced, almost-but-not-quite tipsy forward cant of the bowl, both visually and physically, as the piece sits with aplomb.
