Tin note of sour fruit and smoky. Tobacco is a ribbon cut of light brown, dark brown and black. Moisture content is great. Burns moderately with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of smoky, floral, incense, zesty orange peel, woody, herbal spices, musty vegetation, ripe dark fruit, mildly savory, tart and tangy citrus, lemon grass, leather, rich, a buttery sweet bread background note, and a peppery retro. I so much wanted to like this tobacco and tried really hard to do it. The room note is very old world and masculine. The smoke itself is excellent very much a full bodied english with so much to offer in the flavor department. But for me there is an after taste which to me I can only describe as creasote like, which tends to linger and for me spoil the whole experience....Read More

I smoked a tin and can report it was delightful. The smoke was clean with latakia and a hint of spice. Burns smooth cool and to nice white ash. Goes great with a nice cup of dark roasted coffee. Peterson at it's best !!

This is a top shelf blend. Rich on the latakia, with a fair oriental backbone. Burn is clean and easy, and ready to go straight from the tin. Nicely spiced, with a faint cocoa on the exhale. Its reminiscent of balkan s_____ie. There is no topping or casing, just a pure latakia/oriental blend with a rich warm flavour. Its less sweet than Old Dublin, more spicy and full.
