About This Cigar
Made in Italy from fermented American and Italian dark-fired Kentucky tobaccos, Toscano cigars differ from their Caribbean counterparts in that they don't have to be stored in a humidor to retain their quality. Referred to as dry cigars or "cheroots," Toscano cigars are perfect for travel and casual everyday enjoyment, and due to their strength and length, they're traditionally smoked ammezzato — cut in half rather than smoked in their entirety, effectively providing two smokes per cigar. Here Toscano presents the 1492 Anno Domini, the only Toscano cigar to exclusively feature American dark-fired tobacco from Tennessee. It's a celebration of North America's rich tobacco history — offered in packs of five.
Note: Because Toscano cigars are made from fermented tobaccos, it's recommended that they be stored separate from other cigars, lest the aromas and flavors mix. As such, consider preserving Toscano cigars in an air-tight container at around 68ºF (20ºC).Customer Reviews

The quintessential Kentucky “smokiness” is there, and this is undoubtedly a full-body, full-strength cigar, but the flavor profile is just noticeably sweeter and deeper in the Anno Domini than it is in other Toscano cigars. Think of savory sweetness, like a well-toasted marshmallow or mesquite BBQ, along with rich, almost decadent, tobacco flavor. It’s the kind of taste that you genuinely miss when you’ve finished the cigar. It helps, and is quite telling, that this is the only cigar my wife positively describes as smelling “pleasant.”
As to production, I’ve never had a dud that was wrapped so tightly I couldn’t draw through it, though you’ll find some may be tighter than others. The burn is always even, and when smoked ammezzato these last anywhere between 25-35 minutes.
