La Union Prominente Especial Red Box (40 cigars) Cigar (7.25 x 50)

My Father cigars are among the most highly respected producers of premium cigars in the industry, with a portfolio that boasts a bevy of award-winning smokes across a carefully curated array of blends. Originally founded in 2003 by Cuban master blender and torcedor Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia, his son Jaime, and his daughter Janny, the brand began as a small factory in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami, Florida called El Rey de los Habanos or "The King of Cuban Cigars." In their first years of Business, the factory was commissioned by a number of brands to make cigars for them, most notably Ashton and Tatuaje: their partnership with Tatuaje eventually becoming a permanent affair. This is La Union, an incredibly special release, as it represents the history and triumphant success of that partnership in remarkable fashion. A two-part, collaborative release, this is the Red Box edition of La Union, available exclusively in a stunning humidor box containing 40 cigars. As a collaboration, 20 cigars were blended by the Garcia family, while the other 20 were blended by Pete Johnson, all utilizing tobacco from the Garcias' farm in Nicaragua for the binder and fillers. The two distinct blends presented here offer a varied and exciting smoking experience, with Johnson's blend boasting a Sumatra wrapper, while the Garcias' features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Both blends have been rolled in a unique 7.25" × 50 vitola that the two companies are calling the Prominente Especial, a storied Cuban vitola.

Strictly limited to 1500 boxes, La Union is a true rarity that would serve as a crown jewel in any collection of Tatuaje or My Father cigars. Each humidor includes a limited edition Xikar Xi2 Perfect cutter printed with both brands' logos and the art from the top of the humidor, which depicts a handshake between Pete Johnson and Jaime Garcia that's been blessed by Don Pepin.
