Arturo Fuente - Brevas Royale Natural
The Best Everyday Smoke
For the price, they can’t be beat. It’s worth having a box in your humidor because they do get better after months of rest. They are mild-medium with a good burn and smoke output. They’re fairly consistent—the draw may be tighter on some, but not unsmokeable. The flavor of the Cameroon wrapper is nice, and the cigars are well balanced with no harshness. It’s fun to come back to these after smoking an expensive, highly rated/advertised stick because many times, these are better. It’s also worth having these in your rotation to give your palate and wallet a break. This is a classic size, and what I think of when I think ‘cigar’.
AJ Fernandez - New World Minis (5 Pack)
Larger Ring Gauge is Better
I like AJ’s cigars but this blend in the small ring gauge was too much for me. It burned my tongue (and I’m a slow smoker) and it was just unpleasant. I’d recommend any other AJ cigar over this one.
Oliva - Serie V Club (20 Pack)
Nice packaging, flavor
I bought these thinking they’d be perfect for a work break or cold weather. They are well made, easy to light, and have good flavor. My problem is after 3 or 4 puffs they get hot, burning the tip of my tongue. So no matter how convenient and good they are, that bit of discomfort ruins the experience for me. I’ll just buy the Oliva Melanio #4 instead.
