About This Cigar
Established in 2021 by Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott — two former executives at Nat Sherman — Ferio Tego boasts a curated portfolio that includes new blends as well as resurrected favorites, paying respect to the tradition that came before while pioneering new and daring trails into the future. The brand's bold resilience and commitment to excellence are embodied by their iconic insignia — the Herklots family's coat of arms, which depicts the daring story of Hercules fighting the Hydra from Greek mythology. "Ferio Tego" translates roughly from Latin to mean "Strike and Defend," a concept central to the brand's enduring legacy and pursuit of innovation.
Ferio Tego's Metropolitan series was originally a heritage line of cigars before being acquired by Herklots and Scott, and it's divided into a number of sub-blends that offer plenty of variety across a wide array of vitolas. Ferio Tego has remained faithful to the line's origins, utilizing the same blends of tobacco that the Metropolitan series used to, and even presenting the cigars in packaging that's as close to original as possible. The Metropolitan Habano line is made by the Plasencia Cigars factory, and it's a Nicaraguan puro that boasts a Habano wrapper alongside tobaccos grown in Nicaragua's volcanic soil.
