Drew Estate's Undercrown Shade is more than simply a Connecticut-wrapped extension of their original Undercrown Maduro line. While the Shade does feature an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, it also trades the original Undercrown's Connecticut Broadleaf binder and filler blend of Brazilian and Nicaraguan tobaccos for a Sumatran binder and fillers consisting of Dominican Criollo '98 and Corojo and Criollo from Nicaragua.
