Released in 2022, Caldwell's Crafted & Curated series acts as a creative outlet for Robert Caldwell, offering unique blending and sizing experimentation to discerning connoisseurs. Named after the Spanish word for "cynic," Malpensante reflects Robert Caldwell's continued exploration of small-batch, limited-production cigars crafted for seasoned enthusiasts. Produced at Tabacalera Mina del Rey in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, Malpensante showcases a Habano 2000 wrapper over a Sumatra binder and a core of Dominican fillers. According to Caldwell, the blend delivers a classic Savages profile, balancing richness, complexity, and the brand's signature unconventional spirit. Offered here in a 6" x 54 vitola, Malpensante presents a refined take on the Savages blend in an exceptionally limited release.
