Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Warthog Tusk (1024) Tobacco Pipe

Like many Dublins we've received from Wojtek Pastuch in the past, this rendition is a whimsical interpretation that demonstrates the Polish artisan's ability to creatively modify traditional shapes. The tall, flaring bowl sits poised and upright at the end of the angled transition and houses a remarkably deep chamber. The shank's elegant curve coupled with the softly downturned stem put even more visual emphasis on the bowl and rightfully so as it offers much to be appreciated.

For me, the one aspect about this pipe I can't get enough of is the bowl's incredibly deep, craggy sandblast. Rippling stacks of wavy grain cascade down the bowl, providing so much texture that even the most discerning sandblast devotee will be thoroughly pleased with it. Natural plateau is oriented along the rim and shank face, adding to the visual texture and seamlessly blends with the sandblasted finish. The inner rim is chamfered and finished in a walnut stain, pairing nicely with the red and black tones of the cumberland mouthpiece. A pale band of warthog tusk adorns the stem base, serving as a natural and intuitive accent to the rest of the composition's dark color palette and makes this piece even more visually captivating.
