About

Unlike traditional ceramic or glass tobacco storage solutions, Peterson's Avoca tobacco jars are incredibly portable and durable. Each jar is made from hardened elastomer, tested to ensure an air-tight seal, and wrapped in a soft, zipper-enclosed leather sleeve, protecting the tobacco from sunlight and accidental drops and spills. This medium-sized model features a dark, subtle green leather exterior with Peterson green trim.

With this item having returned to stock and finally available to ship I was able to check this off of my wish list. My 5-star rating is based on 1) by all appearances and tightness of the seal I can only assume that it will do a fine job of keeping my leaf in smokable condition and 2) for those reading previous reviews regarding the Peterson pull tab not being securely attached, Peterson must have been listening because it is now held to the slider with a spiral loop like what many keep their keys on - the problem looks to have been addressed and (hopefully) solved....Read More

Like another reviewer, the Peterson pull for the zipper broke off. I clamped it down again but it came loose once more. Frustratedly I disposed of it. The weak link is a fatal flaw for this otherwise handy and attractive container.

Had this little leather jar for quite some time and fill it with whatever I am smoking at home during the week. It's usually on my side table next to my ashtray and what ever book I'm reading at the time. Great for holding small amounts of tobacco for drying out time as well.
