About This Cigar

Committed to the cigar making tradition established by his father and grandfather, Nick Perdomo Jr. began making cigars out of his garage, naming the operation "Nick's Cigar Co." This humble home business would become Tabacalera Perdomo in 1992, renowned throughout the cigar world. The company soon outgrew every location it moved to, eventually settling in Estelí, Nicaragua, where its handmade cigars are still produced today. Now, the 4th generation of Perdomo is at the helm, with Nicholas Perdomo III continuing the legacy of those before him.

Deviating from Perdomo's typically more robust and full-bodied portfolio, Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne cigars offer a more mild-bodied smoke. Exuding elegance and nuance, these cigars are aptly named after the drink known for its association to all things classy and formal. The filler blend consists of Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobaccos, wrapped by a Connecticut shade leaf that's been triple-fermented — all extensively aged to deepen and better marry the flavors. With a profile of creamy sweetness, intriguing depth, and hints of coffee, Perdomo's Reserve Champagne 10th Anniversary is a cigar full of poise and in a class all its own.

Bland and overrated

Product: Perdomo Reserve Champagne 10th Anniversary Torpedo
Being predominantly a smoker of habanos and trying as many new world cigars as I can, I got a couple of these to try due to the high praise as being a bit richer than most Connecticut shades, the apparent dedication to quality at Perdomo and my enjoyment of lighter cigars and often torpedos. I found this little different to any other Connecticut shade cigars I've ever tried - bland, overly light on flavour and not a hint of any progression throughout the length of the cigar. Even the burn went a bit askew despite the raving about high construction standards at Perdomo. Beautiful presentation and a very pleasant unlit aroma, but beyond that I wouldn't even recommend these to a beginner as they're such a large format. All style over substance....Read More
5 Stars - Just Wow!

Product: Perdomo Reserve Champagne 10th Anniversary Torpedo
Wow. I loved this stick! The construction had a few minor flaws, burn was uneven and needed constant attention in the first 1/3. However, the description is right on the mark. From first puff the flavor profile is incredibly satisfying. I was really floored by the mouth feel of what is essentially a mild cigar. It's super creamy, with notes of leather, cashew, Brazil nut, yeast, and wheat with subtle sweetness. In the second half a champagne soda note builds as the cigar ramps up. This light pepper and yeasty soda note is very noticeable in the retrohale. In the larger cigar sizes, the Nicaraguan may sneak up on you. Very lovely cigar!...Read More
