Nice blend, but not PA

My first impression of this blend was a mild but definite note of vanilla marking this as a light aromatic. This came through in the taste as well. Overall, Duke Albert is a good, mild smoke; however, it does not smell or taste much like Prince Albert. I have smoked PA from pouches and from the old metal cans that gave rise to the old joke, so I am very familiar with its flavor and aroma. Original PA was, and presumably still is, not an aromatic, rather, it was a heavily cased burley with a flavor that always reminded me of Keebler Deluxe Grahams. Duke Albert makes for a great first bowl of the day. It is satisfying without delivering a nicotine knock-out punch. It is easy on the tongue and friendly to the nose, so I will order it again when I run out. If I really want PA, though, I will have to order that by name....Read More

I bought this stuff a while back and it seemed good. Now that I’m experienced enough in my pipe tobaccos! The sutliff ERR (Edgeworth ready rubbed) match was the best codger style burley. But since you can’t find it, I suggest burley delight by sutliff . It’s great and close to ERR good stuff people give it a try!! If you’re ready to become a man. I've been smoking a long time and I will admit I am a bit biast. I like burley tobacco and this in my opinion is the best there is. My grandfather smoked PA nearly my whole life and when I was a kid I'd love the smell of his house. This isn't PA, it's maybe a little sweeter. I don't mind that at all. It's an easy smoking, great tasting, wint break the bank tobacco. I don't taste anything other then burley in this blend. Lots of molasses and coco in the background. In my opinion it's the best. nutty and mellow

I've never smoked prince albert but if it's anything like this I would like it. I smoked this in a side by side comparison with sutliff 212 burley delight and they are very similar. 212 was more cocoa flavor and the duke was more nutty. both burned similar and neither bit me. both are mellow codger type blends and have low nic content. i like both of them very much and will stock up on both. depends on what mood I'm in as to which I'll smoke. if I'm in the mood for cocoa I'll go with 212. if i want more nuts I'll go with the duke....Read More

So if you smoke and like Prince Albert, you need to try this one, it's smoother, smokes cooler and has all the flavor and aroma, but in the end it's just better.
