Missouri Meerschaum - Cobbit Shire with Sapphire Stem
Not a good purchase
The pipe was shipped with the stem inserted into the shank. When I received the pipe I allowed it to rest for two days due to the winter weather. I then attempted to remove the stem for a good look over. The stem would not separate. I attempted the freezer routine. No luck. The shank eventually separated from the bowl. Even when left with the stem and two pairs of pliers, I could not remove the stem from the shank. I could reglue the stem/shank to the bowl but cleaning the stem would be a problem. So I’m going to toss it. Lesson learned. Sometimes you really do get what you paid for. Now back to my briars.
