“Temporarily” out of stock…
Are you really “Temporarily” out of stock? Or are you just blowing smoke…?
Sutliff - North Pole Peppermint Mocha
Like sucking on a Vicks Inhaler
I’ve never written a tobacco review until now. I felt compelled to issue a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to warn serious pipe smokers that you will never taste anything close to pipe tobacco in this blend. The smell and taste of “peppermint” is so overdone, overwhelming and overpowering, it feels like you are sucking on a Vicks Nasal Inhaler! In fact, there’s no sense of peppermint flavoring in this blend it’s more like eucalyptus, or Kool menthol cigarettes - very chemical. The flavor description states: “…blended with chocolatey cocoa, sweet vanilla, and just a hint of refreshing mint…”; there is ZERO taste of chocolatey cocoa or sweet vanilla and the “hint” of refreshing mint” is more like a punch in the mouth. Thankfully I only purchased a couple of ounces. One of the few tobaccos I’ve ever thrown in the garbage. 0 Stars if I could.

Five Coffee and Tobacco Pairings
- ► Response to David: I agree. My best and favorite pairings of coffee and pipe are Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, Mac Baren Burley London Blend, Carter Hall, Prince Albert and Granger - in that order of preference - all vintage codger blends. The only boutique blend I would put in the rotation here would be C&D Eight State Burley. Burley and coffee were created for each other. I occasionally enjoy some Lane English Luxury with a pinch of Izmir Turkish added.
