Cornell & Diehl - Lone Sentinel 2oz
Soft and pleasant.
Just a straight up high quality Virginia with a touch of perique. I'm slow sipping in a narrow chamber and that seems to be magic. It's delicate and refined. C&D knows how to put tobacco together. Excellent.

Missouri Meerschaum - The Stubby with Green Stem
Great construction, great smoker
This one is built just a bit better than the rest, I think. Super cool stem. Picture doesn't do it justice.

Per Jensen - Legacy Collection: Brothers in Arms 2oz
Spicy, rich and smooth.
It's great. I normally steer away from the strong blends and hang out in Virginia world but this one impressed me. Stick to a medium or small bowl if your on the fence about this blend. A couple of rough spots but the blend holds up as winner

Cornell & Diehl - Carolina Red Flake with Perique 2oz
Open NOW enjoy NOW
It's Seriously good right now. Cellar if ya like, but its ready...

Lighters - IM Corona Pipe Lighter - Old Boy Chrome Pinstripe
4+ years strong
I've used this lighter heavily since I purchased it in 2021. I would have WELL exceeded the price of this lighter in other lighters over the years. It's spendy up front but lasts for so much longer then any other lighter will. Highly recommend!

Missouri Meerschaum - Big Boy Natural with Blue Swirl Stem
Another winner.
Great lightweight pipe. Perfect bowl size for your flake. Acrylic stem is awesome. A handsome blue sleight with white and light blue marbling.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Grasmere Flake
Very surprised
The tin note is really like grandmas "only for guests" floral soap bars. The actual smoke is a very rich and balanced creamy (not super aromatic) smoke. I was surprised how fantastic it is. Virginias and burley married superbly.

Toscano - Maestro Puccini 2oz
Rich and intriguing
It's very good. My first smoke I hated it! Let it sit for a couple months. Now I only wish I bought more than one tin. Oh well.... if you missed your opportunity to buy one, don't fret. There are other burly blends that compete well. A WARNING-don't have too much at once.

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East 2oz
Blended well, quality tobacco but leaves something to be desired
It's not bad. Strong. Will bite if not careful. A good quality blend but you have to be in the mood for a strong lat blend. I probably won't reach for it much over other English blends out there.

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
The best English blend available
Simply the best English blend of our times right now. Always smooth and delicious and never bites. It's simply a masterpiece of blending. If this ever gets discontinued it will be harder to get then Dunhill nightcap.

Cornell & Diehl - Opening Night 2oz
4.5 stars. Goes from good to great down the bowl
As titled, starts out as a pretty good Virginia then down to bottom 1/3rd of the bowl it really opens up into something super tasty. Does not bite. Sweet bread and smooth are words I would use to describe.

Cornell & Diehl - Kajun Kake 2oz
worthy of your collection
this tastes to me, what a bass note is for music. its rich, deep and kind of simple. this will not blow you away with any sort of complexity but it delivers a very rich virgina with unmistakable perique spice. If you love VaPers and have not yet picked up a tin, thats a mistake on your part. a solid 4.5 star for quality leaf and blending.

HU - Khoisaan 100g
Refined, Balanced… exquisite.
My thoughtful wife surprised me with a to tin of this in my stocking. When opening the tin, the tobacco smells outstanding and does not disappoint when you light it up. It is a solid medium of the road in strength and very rich in texture concerning the smoke and mouth feel. The Latakia is not by any means overpowering. Refined and balanced is how I would mark this blend. I think any regular pipe smoker is gonna be hard pressed to not like this but it will particularly draw to those who enjoy Virginia and thoughtfully crafted English blends in the vain of GL Pease English blends…. I don’t think I’m gonna cellar deep like crazy but I will most definitely buy another tin when I’m finished with it

Filters & Adaptors - White Elephant 9mm Filters - Charcoal (10 Pack)
They work well
I use these in my Tsuge 9mm pipe. They work great. If you are not familiar with a filtered pipe smoke, here is what you can expect: the filters WILL give you a cleaner smoke feel in your mouth as it cuts down the tar ect- after I smoke with a filtered pipe, my mouth does not taste like an ashtray. The filters WILL drastically reduce tongue bite. The filters WILL (slightly) mute the flavors of your tobacco because it’s FILTERING…BUT, that’s not a bad thing with certain tobaccos. I use both filtered and non filtered and some tobaccos I enjoy MORE with a filter, as it tames some of the inconsistency of the burn IMO. Filters don’t get much love in USA, try them, you may be surprised. I was.

Rattray's - Old Gowrie 100g
Very balanced and easy smoking.
very easy to smoke. The Virginia and Perique make it a tasty smoke for those who appreciate Virginia’s, and the Burley gives the smoke a nice rounded balance. The mouth feel is very soft and chewy. A winner for sure.

Cornell & Diehl - Palmetto Balkan 8oz
Easy smoking and delicious
I did not know that this blend was designated as “English” before I had first tried it, that said it came off less like a traditional English to me and something more unique in itself. After studying the ingredients, the English-ness is definitely there but the blend stands alone IMO. An easy all day smoke (if you have the time-I don’t but wish I did!) Highly recommend and well worth the price.
