Cornell & Diehl - Firebird Flake 2oz
Excellent yearly release
Just a fantastic blend, and possibly my favorite limited release. The 2025 blend was in my top 5 for the year, and I'm looking forward to the 2026 variant. Sweet dark Virginia, buttery incense like Oriental, smokey cedar from the Kentucky. Blown away that this isn't sold out yet.

HU - Dark Moor 100g
May have found my desert island blend
I regret not opening my tin sooner. Dark fruit, cedar woodiness, slight spice. The kentucky leaf lends so much flavor to this blend - almost like peanut brittle that rides along a smokey journey with dark fruit and heft coming from the virginia and perique. Honestly, if HH Burley Flake was your go-to blend or even something that you enjoyed but can't find, this is a more than competent replacement.

Cornell & Diehl - Awakened Elder 2oz
Spicy and exotic english mixture
Review after 1 year jarred. A sweet, spicy, and dark tin note. The latakia is sweet and smokey, akin to BBQ smoke rather than campfire. The orientals are forward, so much that I would consider this a variation on a Balkan. They are fragrant and incense like. The perique brings a welcome spicy tingle on the retrohale. It is dark and figgy. The cavendish rounds out and mellows the smoke, leaving very few rough edges if any. The cigar leaf takes a real back leaf and is not entirely evident until after you've cleaned out the bowl and given it a sniff. Nic hit is just a touch past medium. Leaves a pleasant scent in your nose, and doesn't overpower your palate. The slight age on this tin could have mellowed out the cigar, in a very pleasant way. Not an all day smoke, but could be a few bowls a day. If you're a fan of GLP Horizons but were wishing it were a tad spicier, this is your blend. Absolutely heavenly.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
Made me a Virginia believer
Sweet flavors of hay, grass, and delicious tomato/catsup on the smoke. The tin is full of the same plus some sweet spice and plum. I was not a fan of straight Virginia's before I tried Capstan Blue. The general consensus is to try out Orlik Golden Sliced and you'll be hooked - not for me. I even gave Royal Yacht a shot and wasn't super impressed. From the tin note and first smoke I knew Capstan Blue was going to be different. Truly an excellent smoke. The hype is actually real.

Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
First time cult enjoyer
Incredible! This is my first tin of Cult Blood Red Moon. I was so skeptical that it was as good as others say, but it's great! If you've ever had a Cherry Toostsie-Roll Pop you know exactly what this will taste like. I'm wishing I had gotten more than just one tin.
