Stands & Pouches - Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Pipe Stand - Leather
Cheaply Made
This is, obviously , not very expensive. And it shows. Thin, flimsy leather. Barely holds the pipe barely stays upright. Avoid this stand. There are better inexpensive stands out there!

Close, good, but no cigar
Like so many others I have bemoaned the loss of 5100. This straight Virginia ribbon does a reasonable job of filling that gap, but it's not up to the quality of 5100. The taste and flavor are just a bit off. I’m curious to see what aging will do to it. However, despite not being a substitute for 5100, it’s mild, fruity, and sweet with a decent room note. It's a good straight Virginia ribbon, and I would recommend it to those who like that blend of tobacco.It’s just not 5100. But nothing will ever be. Sigh.

Get Several
Simple, inexpensive, and does the trick quite handily. I own some fancy tampers, but I seem to use this one the most. I bought two.

McClelland - Collector: Tudor Castle 50g
Cellar If You Can
I was lucky to stumble on two (!) ten year old tins of Tudor Castle. I must say that a decade of aging the Virginias makes for a sublimely, sweet, smoke. If you have the patience, buy several of these tins and cellar them for as long as your patience allows!

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Fantastic Tobacco
My preferences have always been for aromatics (Lanes Ltd BCA is my favorite), but as I sought to expand my range of tobaccos, I tried this blend. It is wonderful! If you like aromatics, you'll find that this one is delightful, smooth, and quite complex. If you are looking for a pipe tobacco outside of your traditional "aromatic comfort zone" I highly recommend trying this blend. I look forward to exploring the other Frog Morton blends.

Lane Limited - BCA
Wonderful
I thought Lane 1-Q would be my favorite aromatic, but this blend has surpassed 1-Q. Mild and with a wonderful room odor, I highly recommend this blend if your taste in tobacco leans towards aromatics.

Dan Tobacco - Salty Dogs 50g
Recommended Aromatic
I am partial to aromatics, and I found this plug tobacco to be a wonderful treat. It is my first plug tobacco, and I prepared it by cutting a few "flakes" off of the plug and rubbing them out for smoking. I was pleasantly surprised by this tobacco, which I considered both mild and very aromatic. It was also kind of fun working with the plug.

Samuel Gawith - Best Brown Flake 50g
Most Excellent
This was my first experience with flake tobacco, and it was delightful. A gentle, aromatic smoke! I found that rubbing the flake (instead of various other methods described for prepping flake tobacco for smoking) worked the best. Highly recommended.
