Savinelli - Brunello Flake 100g
Strawberries!
Earlier this spring I enjoyed a bowl of this on a Saturday as I recall. Later that day I was out working in the garden, on my haunches picking strawberries, when I was instantly transported back a few hours to the pipe...the tin note is like sticking your head in a strawberry patch! Smoke it slowly enough and that lovely taste comes through the smoke. It's fantastic. The nicotine is on the lighter side as well which I appreciate. The 100g tin is great too. One of my favorites.

I have the Tortuga color of this lighter. Works excellent (thanks Japan) and looks classy (thanks Italy). I am looking forward to the next 50 years with this little guy.

Mac Baren - Vanilla Cream 3.5oz
Oh so creamy.
I don't smoke aromatics much but when one is order...like when womenfolk are around or I am just in the mood for it, this is a great blend to smoke. It's not so much the vanilla flavor I like but rather the creamy mouth feel...it is really really creamy. How they achieve this without it being wet and goopy I don't know but it burns great and doesn't leave a mess. When I'm done, a nice pleasant flavor lingers for hours. There is a reason it is in the top 50 tinned tobacco's on this site. Happy I bought two tins when I did.

G. L. Pease - Maltese Falcon 8oz

Many years ago, when I occasionally bought a pack of cigarettes—usually for camping trips—I most often chose Camels. My friends didn’t approve, saying they stank something fierce, but to me, a once or twice-a-year smoker, they smelled great. Fast-forward to the present day and my venture into pipe smoking, and this blend really stands out for me. From watching and reading reviews, I learned that the Orientals are the star of the blend…perhaps the same reason I preferred Camels. At any rate, this is a fantastic smoke in my book, and I’ll definitely be buying more.

I really enjoy this. My brother, who is a cigar smoker, said of all the tobaccos I have smoked, he liked this one the best FWIW. I would buy it again.

Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
Nice and Balanced
I don't have tons of experience with English blends, (don't have a ton of experience with any blend to be honest), but this was fantastic. As of this writing, it is the best English I have ever smoked...nice, smooth and balanced is how I would describe it. Will be in my next order for sure.

Peterson - My Mixture 965 50g
Newbie's first English
So take this for what it's worth, I am a relative noob to pipe smoking and this is literally the first English blend I have ever smoked. I have smoked several aromatics so by now I am pretty good at loading a pipe and getting a good cadence going. I was not prepared for what occurred however when I opened the tin. Upon smelling it, I was instantly taken back in my memory to camping with the kids...not only that, but specifically barbecuing, on a hot summer day, applying barbecue sauce to ribs. It was like time travel...I couldn't stop smelling it. The actual smoking experience was equally as pleasant. I have no idea how to explain which of the various tobaccos in the blend did what, but the summation of them was fantastic. Perhaps in time I will revisit this review once I have some more time/bowls under my belt...but for my first impression, this was fantastic.
