Seattle Pipe Club - Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged 2oz
My Desert Island
I tried A LOT of tobaccos. (All the popular ones) This is my favorite of all time. The sweet rum is with you from start to finish. Mississippi River is already pungent by itself, but aging it in a used rum barrel for a month takes it over the top! Aged it in the tin for 2 years and then smoke it slow and cool. You won't be disappointed. Understand the tobaccos that make up Mississippi River, and grasp how rum is made to appreciation everything that is going on here. You're cheating yourself otherwise.

Seattle Pipe Club - Mississippi River 2oz
Great!
This is VERY good to me. Smoke it slow and steady. The sour tang is wonderful. You can really hone in on the complexity in this English blend if you smoke it correctly. It's in my top 5. I will be storying a few tins.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
Why are people buying this?
It's ok, but not for the price. I get that J.R.R Tolkien supposedly smoked this, but someone should've told him to try something else. If he had to stick with Virginias, then he should've smoked Orlik Golden Sliced instead. I also heard someone else say it smells like catchup... I smell that too, but it doesn't taste like it at least. I won't buy ever again mainly because I'm an English smoker. I'll cellar this and see how it is in 10 years.

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 2oz
Top 3
I like English balkan blends, and this is in my top 3. Smells like bbq leather.

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding Special Reserve 2oz
Really good
It's a little lighter than regular plum pudding. People seem to like it more because of that fact. I like the original better, but you can smoke this all day unlike the original plum pudding. I have a few tins cellared. A must have.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Delite
Better than 1-Q
I like this aromatic and I usually don't like aromatics.

Peter Stokkebye - PS402 Luxury Twist Flake
Good Virginia
Great smell and taste, but it's harsh. Smoke it slow. My batch was fresh when tried it, so maybe letting it cellar for a year will do the trick. I can see why some people say this is their favorite. Not mine though.

Solani - Gold Label- English Luxury - 779 50g
It's ok
There's better English blends out there. I won't be buying again.

G. L. Pease - Maltese Falcon 2oz
It's ok
I like English blends the most, but there's something holding me back from giving this a higher rating. I don't know what's in this that I don't like, but it's giving me some kind of soap taste that keeps me from loving it. I'll smoke it until it's gone, but I'm going to leave it alone after that.

Peterson - Nightcap 50g
I don't get it.
It burns well, and the moisture content is spot on. However, the taste is NOT appealing to me. I guess I can imagine how people like it, but to me it reminds me of Indian's BO from India that eat too much curry and refuse to use anti-perspirant. I don't know if I have to try it in a year or 2 for it to change for me. Sorry if this review is harsh.
