Great Pipe!
I love this heavy little pipe. I have two other briar sitting pipes but this one is has a certain je ne sais quoi about it --or, should I say Non so cosa? Either way, you can't go wrong with this pipe.

What's Not to Like?
This is a great pipe tobacco that you could smoke all day. It pairs well with everything. It tastes sweet, tangy, with notes of hay, vanilla, and citrus.

A better Aromatic....
This is a good Aromatic pipe tobacco blend. It's Latakia and Caramel forward. It's definitely a dessert or after-dinner blend to me --not something I'd want to smoke first thing in the morning.

Maybe this pipe tobacco blend just isn't my thing
Maybe this pipe tobacco blend just isn't my thing. This pipe tobacco blend us just okay. I can't imagine myself buying this again.

a good, well-balanced smoke
I think G.L. Please's Robusto is better if you want a blend with some that taste more like a Maduro wrapped cigar. The Cigar Leaf in this is scarce and just tastes like spicy, natural wrapper cigar leaf. This is a good, well-balanced smoke though. There's nothing gimmicky or fancy about it. Personally, it's one that I always want to have around. Next time I get some, I'll probably blend in some more cigar leaf with it.

Perfect!
This is one of the best pipe tobaccos I've ever smoked. I was a Camel Turkish Royal smoker before I ventured into the hobby of tobacco pipes and pipe tobacco so I have a thing for Oriental pipe tobacco blends. As far as Oriental blends go, this has got to be one of the best. I blended mine with about 10% cigar leaf after smoking about an ounce of the original blend but I think it's best just the way it is.

Quality Control Issues
I've gone through about a dozen cheap corn cob pipes. The quality has been hit and miss. I only have two left. The rest developed holes in the bottom of the bowls under their stickers after about a month of smoking them. I'm going to try one of the more expensive Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob pipes to see if they suffer from the same quality control issues. If they do, I'll stick to buying Briar pipes. One can buy a great briar pipe used off eBay for the same price as a top tier corn cob pipe.

flavorless
This is a flavorless tobacco that is very steamy and wet when smoked. I should have gotten a Virginia-Burley blend or something without Black Cavendish. Black Cavendish is just too problematic.
Captain Black - Original 7oz
Rubbish
This blend smells good in the can and in the room-note but it tastes like steam because Black Cavendish taste like steam, PG, and as sweeteners. I don't like any Black Cavendish or gimmicky aromatics. I wouldn't recommend Captain Black or any blend containing Black Cavendish to anyone.
G. L. Pease - Robusto 2oz
It might be too good.
G.L. Pease's Robusto might be too good! I love a Maduro wrapped cigar so this was right up my alley.

Stout!
This is the strongest pipe tobacco I've ever smoked. It's hearty and bold. It's got quite a nicotine hit too. It's not an all-day smoke but it's something for a particular occasion when you want to smoke a robust and stout pipe tobacco.

The fact that they are basically unfinished is the worst part about them.
