Excellent
Really good stout blend. The burley really shines with a hint of licorice. The flakes are beautiful but does need a little dry time.

Carter Hall - Carter Hall 14oz
It alright
It’s a super simple codger blend. Nutty with a slight molasses note. I like it but there is so much more out there.

Sir Walter Raleigh - Regular 7oz
Pretty Nasty
If you like smoking a bag of salt and vinegar chips this is the blend for you.

Cornell & Diehl - Kajun Kake 2oz
Solid
Just a quality Va/Per. I like the addition of the cavendish, it feels like it smooths it out. Really good fresh out of the tin, bet it’ll be even better with a little age.

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Evening Flake
Goldilocks
This is a really good Va/Per. I love perique heavy blends but sometimes I’m in the mood for something more on the mild side. This fills the space between Bayou Morning and Elizabethan Mixture. Not too spicy, not too sweet, just right.

Great Cigar Blend
I’m not a huge latakia fan so finding a good cigar blend sans latakia is great. I had previously tried King’s Stride and was a little disappointed so I was hesitant to try this, but I was pleasantly surprised. I feel this is what Billy Budd Blonde was reaching for and missed.

G. L. Pease - JackKnife Ready Rubbed 8oz
So Good
Strong, smokey, a little sweet and you don’t have to mess around with cutting up a plug! What’s not to like? When I think of dfk this blend is what pops into my head.

Cornell & Diehl - Easy Times 2oz
Made me reconsider
When I first started smoking a pipe I couldn’t stand latakia. I decided I was missing out on too much of my smokable possibilities and set out on a latakia pilgrimage. This was the first blend that made me see the light! I still don’t reach for lat-bombs but this tobacco made me see what latakia can do in the hands of a skillful blender.

Cornell & Diehl - Speakeasy Navy Blend 2oz
Never Disappoints
I don’t reach for this blend often, but when I do it doesn’t let me down. The rum adds a pleasant flavor without being overbearing, the perique provides a subtle spice and the dfk lends a good amount of body.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Morning Flake 8oz
Old Faithful
This is hands down my favorite. I love a wide variety of pipe tobacco, but sometimes nothing seems to hit the spot, save one. If nothing seems to be tickling my fancy I know where to turn.

Peterson - Elizabethan Mixture 50g
Classic
I love VaPers in all forms and this is the base of which I judge them. It’s a classic. The sweet, grassy virginias play perfectly with the spicy perique, while not overpowering the blend. Don’t get me wrong I love a perique heavy blend but if I’m in the mood for something on the mild side this is what I reach for. The ribbon cut is perfect if you’re feeling lazy and with a little dry time it’s ready to go.
