Though he does create some interesting interpretations of the classics from time to time, the main body of Werner Mummert's work I would describe as unique. Simply put, there's really just no one who does things quite like Mummert; be it shaping, finishes, or overall engineering, his style is just that — all his own. This Barrel is a great example of this unique approach, taking the often explored tubular aesthetic to the max by creating a piece that's cylindrical in form and still quite functional as a reverse Calabash design as well. The result is simply unlike anything else you'll find on the market, not even from Eltang's Tubos designs. If you have an appreciation for modern engineering, and a minimalist, yet avant-garde shaping style, the Barrel is definitely a piece to consider.
