About This Pipe
Whether you're looking to begin your own pipe smoking journey, an inexpensive way to build up a rotation, or searching for a comprehensive package to introduce someone to pipe smoking, Highway Nine starter kits contain everything needed to get started. That said, the pipe itself has some minor flaws—there are scuff marks on both the body and the rim. It also accumulated quite a bit of moisture during smoking, and the draft hole is slightly misaligned.
After smoking, I wiped the surface of the pipe with an alcohol wipe, and the wipe turned yellow. I also made the mistake of wiping the inside with alcohol, which almost ruined the pre-carbonized coating. I felt a bit silly doing that.
So, overall, I’d give this set a 3/5—it’s functional, but not necessarily something I’d enthusiastically recommend to others.
