Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This Canadian by Ser Jacopo measures in at just over five and a half inches, presenting a sleek profile that is dominated by its oval shank, which joins to an abbreviated stem, giving this Canadian its classic look. Out front, the cylindrical bowl is upright and robust, and it showcases Ser Jacopo's iconic Rowlette rustication. Said rustication features a spot carving at the bowl that mimics the look of dripping wax, while the shank highlights a traditionally craggy rustication for an eye-catching contrast.
