About This Pipe
Nanna Ivarsson is a masterful carver who upholds her family's legacy, building upon the style established by her father and grandfather. As one might expect from a pipe-making genius, this piece is simply gorgeous, embodying the Danish style's supple curves and clean, efficient line work. This piece features a stocky bowl that flares from its lifted heel to its broad, rounded rim. Said bowl stands at the fore of an upturned shank that flares outward to a demurely curved saddle stem, which promotes a comfortable smoking posture. The shank-and-stem arrangement mirrors the bowl's supple curvature and imbues the shape with an elegant fluidity. A smoky smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights striking flame grain across the bowl's flanks, while a warm boxwood accent adorns the junction and ties the shape together with a touch of vibrant color.
