About This Pipe
This might be one of the most petite pipes I've ever seen. A sleek bent Bulldog, with all of the structured lines and sharp presence of much of Manduela's work, it's as lightweight as can be, making it a piece that doesn't require much force to hang from the jaw with ease. It wears a stunning finish, as well — though one of her more subdued pieces, the warm stain of the stummel brings out some fetching flame grain surrounding the bowl, terminating just at the high-set bead lines, and is neatly complemented by a thin band of boxwood at the shank-end. A charming piece, its character is huge, even if the pipe itself isn't.
