About This Pipe

Since its establishment in 1998, L'Anatra has become a mainstay of Italian pipe making and an influential part of the Pesaro tradition. Evocative finishes, playful shaping, and exquisite silverwork typify L'Anatra's craftsmanship and reflect the marque's bold, whimsical spirit. There is perhaps no better encapsulation of L'Anatra's unique character than their telltale signature: a tiny silver duck head, found on every pipe stem.

This particular bent Apple features a neat, handy silhouette, with a slim shank and stem combination balancing its fuller-bodied bowl. Said shank and stem lift out of a wide transition and form a neat arc through the aft side of this piece, nicely poising the pipe for comfortable smoking. From out of the transition, the shank takes on a subdued bit of taper toward the junction, where it's met by a trim silver band, with the stem continuing the shank's taper to the button. The bowl is nicely rounded and appreciably stout, with ample space for one's fingers to wrap and plenty of insulation for the ample chamber. The stummel is dressed in a crisp, wire-style rustication courtesy of the Pettinate series, its texture covered in an inky stain that makes for a contrast-rich composition sure to catch one's eye.
