Sandblasted Cherrywood with Boxwood (Turtle) Tobacco Pipe

This is a general theme we've seen from Gabriele several times before, though that said this sitter is the trimmest, and to my eye smartest, rendition yet. Despite the very light proportions, it still sits very surely; there's a good bit of width to that base, and not much weight of pipe, either up high towards the rim or out back along the slender shank, for it to need to balance. The very dark, auburn-tinged finish really suits the slim proportions, and though the sandblast is quite light, it still brings out good grain detail.
